WHO I AM...
Really.. I don't know...
Okay fine, I was only joking.. I do know...
Well I'm Darsh Naidoo, a young individual who tries to make every aspect of life count.
Funny thing is as a child, I hated music and clubs and dancing...
But as I grew older, I developed a love for Dj'ing..
It all started sometime in 2014 when I had heard a mixtape done by recent RedBull 3Style SA Champion and 5fm DJ, Ryan The DJ, where he started mixing an acapella into another songs instrumental, and I questioned myself about how its done and so in sync.
I then heard about a music festival called H2O, which was taking place in Johannesburg, and Ryan was performing, so I asked my father, and he'd sent me.
While I was in Johannesburg, I met a friend who introduced me to a genre of music, called EDM, where I heard about an artist named Dash Berlin, whose music I had fallen in love with.
When I turned 18, my parents thought of buying me a dj controller, so I may start practicing the art of DJ'ing, under the name Rascal The DJ...
In December 2015, I got my first gig at a club in Durban named Miami Boulevard, who then offered me a residency for events.
Due to the DJ industry having a DJ Rascal also from Durban, whom people used to confuse me with, I had changed my alias to Tronix.
Since then, I played at many other clubs such as, Cafe Vacca Matta, Casa Nostra, News Cafe Umhlanga, Monkey Bluz (Johannesburg), Sugar Reef and many more.
In 2016, I had started presenting my own radio show at Megazone Radio, where I am currently situated (Refer to the Listen Live Tab), and had decided that the best move to make is to go original, and there came Darsh Naidoo.
2017 was a big year for me, as I had formed my own events and management company, named Illusion Nights, and to date have hosted events and socials in Johannesburg and Durban, along with my debut in my acting career, and as an MC..
My next goal in life is to get my own residency spot on 5FM's "The Kyle Cassim Show" and play on The Ultimix, and continue to DJ until I have a chance to play at an Ultra Music Festival...
And yeah... That is who I am..........
